Paul Malherbe CEO / MD
Paul Malherbe joined the African AMSCO in November 2008 as Managing Director and CEO. Prior to joining AMSCO, Paul was head of Mentorship and Consulting Services at Business Partners Ltd, South Africa’s leading investor in SMEs, for 5 years.
As head of the Mentor Service, he was responsible for technical assistance and mentorship activities, not only to Business Partners clients but also to other corporate institutions (banks, NGO, DFI’s) servicing the Southern African SME market.
This was preceded by 8 years in the operational division of the company where he was involved in the appraisal and structuring of risk and equity based finance to SMEs. Before joining Business Partners, he completed his accounting apprenticeship at Coopers & Lybrand, now PriceWaterhouseCoopers.
He holds a B.Compt and an MBL degree, both from the University of South Africa.
Adayapalam Sankaran Mani CFO
Adayapalam Mani has extensive management experience in Africa and India, working for major companies (TVAfrica, Sotiba Simpafric, Sattel Communications Ltd.) on both continents.
Adayapalam is responsible for the full extent of AMSCO's financial, accounting and administration structures, with specific focus on procedures, systems, costs and management accounting.
Anabela Appleton Company Secretary / Donor Relations Coordinator
Anabela joined AMSCO in 1994 and is as a result, the de facto knowledge manager in AMSCO. In this role, she is responsible for formulating and implementing all relevant donor and shareholder related strategies in cooperation with the ATMS Foundation.
Furthermore she manages AMSCO office in The Netherlands and performs the company secretarial function.
Abraham Lanor Regional Manager
Abraham Lanor has considerable international experience in building successful project management teams.
He was a Project Economist of a Jimmy Carter Philanthropic organisation in West Africa, Sasakawa Africa Associates - Global 2000. He has also consulted to a number of international organisations including the Novotel Hotel Chain and the World Trade Centre both in Rotterdam, the Netherlands.
Abraham established the first AMSCO Regional Office in Africa and demonstrated successfully the value of AMSCO's operations in Southern Africa.
Kofi Andah Regional Manager
Kofi Andah, AMSCO's Regional Manager for East Africa since September 2006, has a wealth of management and financial experience gained working in Africa and the US. He is a well-rounded finance professional with experience in financial analysis and modeling, strategic analysis, risk analysis, marketing, product development, and cross-functional team-management.
Andah holds a BA (Hon.) Economics and Accounting & Management from the University of Ghana as well as an MBA from Baylor University in Texas.
Fatuma Abdullah Development Programme Manager
Fatuma has been with AMSCO since 2005. She began as the Executive Assistant to the CEO, progressed to manage the ATMS Foundation, then shifted to re-engineering business processes where she gained a comprehensive knowledge of all aspects of the project management process. In 2012 she was appointed to her current role as Development Programmes Manager to manage the special projects within AMSCO’s portfolio. Fatuma has wide-ranging experience in project management and strategic planning, making her versatile in the various management roles.
Prior to joining AMSCO she worked as a Project Manager for Barclays Bank, Kenya implementing and managing change. Fatuma holds a BA Economics and Master of Science in International Economics from the University of Essex and a Masters in Business Management from the University of Surrey. She also holds certificates in Project Management from Gordon Institute of Business Science South Africa.
Susan Munyori Capacity Development Manager Susan Munyori joined AMSCO in July 2006 as Training Coordinator for East Africa and then moved to head the Capacity Development department in May 2009. She has a wealth of experience in training, talent management, customer service and marketing having held senior positions in those functions while at Kenya Shell, Shell East Africa and Shell Oil Products Africa and Express Kenya Ltd.
Susan holds an MBA from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture, B.Sc. Agricultural Economics from Egerton University and a certificate in Marketing from Marketing Society of Kenya.
Phetsile Ndzinisa Manager - Human Resources and Administration
Phetsile, is an experienced human resources professional with industrial psychology and legal training. Her experience cuts across all facets of the human resources discipline within the corporate and regulatory environments. Prior to joining AMSCO she worked for Hannover Re and the JSE Securities Exchange.
Phetsile holds a B Com Hons from the University of KZN (Durban), Bachelors of Social Science from the same institution, as well as a Management Advancement Programme certificate from WITS Business School.
Mohammed KY Regional Manager
Mohamed KY was appointed Regional Manager for West Africa in September 2010, after having risen through the ranks since joining AMSCO in June 2005, from Project Officer to Deputy Regional Manager.
He has a vast financial and banking experience, accumulated both in the US and in Africa, working for the likes of BNP Paribas and Citigroup. Mohamed Ky has worked in various areas of the financial sector, such as derivatives trading, market risk analysis, capital markets, treasury, corporate finance and structured trade.
He has brought to AMSCO his deep knowledge of the West and Central African market.
He holds a BS in Economics and an MBA from Temple University, USA
Audrey Mensah Recruitment Manager
Audrey Mensah is a seasoned Recruiter with over 14 years’ experience across multiple sectors and industries finding senior management and leadership executives for clients both locally and internationally. She is an expert in all recruiting components including sourcing, qualifying, networking, assessing, relationship management and due diligence on candidates.
She started her recruitment career with KPMG as a Consultant in Advisory Services, rising to Deputy Manager before joining AMSCO in 2005 as an Executive Recruiter. She also held the position of Senior Executive Recruiter prior to being appointed Recruitment Manager.
Audrey holds a Bachelor’s degree in Law from Thames Valley University in UK and a Masters’ degree in International and Comparative Business Law from Guildhall University in UK.
Mpho Kgosidintsi Marketing and Communications Manager
Mpho joined AMSCO from Southern Africa Trust where she was the Communications and Partnerships Manager responsible for the internal and external communications functions of the agency. She has vast experience in the marketing and communications fields.
Mpho previously worked for the Southern African Development Community as the Assistant Manager Corporate Communications and Logistics. Prior to that, she was the English News Presenter for Botswana Television. Mpho holds a Master of Arts Degree in Communications from Ellis College in USA, and a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Botswana.
Randy Ramouthar IT Manager
Randy joined AMSCO in January 2011 as IT Manager primarily responsible for systems/network availability and integration across all regions and platforms within AMSCO. He brings a wealth of technical and consulting services experience, being involved in various system integrations, implementations and cloud computing solutions for various organisations across the globe. He also has extensive experience in advanced infrastructure support and vendor management, ensuring that AMSCO's ICT infrastructure and outsourced solutions are effective and optimal. Randy holds a number of ICT certificates on various technologies and solutions.
