AMSCO's central operational philosophy is to ensure that local successor managers undertake comprehensive management development programmes with the objective of building a well-trained team of local senior executives in each client company, to succeed AMSCO managers.
AMSCO conducts training needs assessments within its client companies and, in collaboration with its clients, custom designs practical, job-orientated management development programmes.
AMSCO's training programmes entail exposure to a comprehensive package of functional and general management development activities - all of which contribute to making an organisation globally competitive and sustainable.
Using funding support provided to the ATMS foundation by donors, ATMS FOUNDATION may subsidise the cost of the training programmes for AMSCO SMEs who cannot afford the full cost.
Corporate Governance promotes, stimulates, advocates and co-ordinates the development, articulation and implementation of good Corporate Governance principles and practices. This in turn leads to socio-economic development. AMSCO’s Corporate Governance program targets the Board of Directors and the Executive Leadership.
“What Corporate Governance means is that people outside looking into the company will see that the people inside who are practicing qualitative governance are making decisions on an intellectually honest basis and are applying care and skill in making business judgments.” – King report
