AMSCO's central operational philosophy is to ensure that local successor managers undertake comprehensive management development programmes with the objective of building a well-trained team of local senior executives in each client company, to succeed AMSCO managers.
AMSCO conducts training needs assessments within its client companies and, in collaboration with its clients, custom designs practical, job-orientated management development programmes.
AMSCO's training programmes entail exposure to a comprehensive package of functional and general management development activities - all of which contribute to making an organisation globally competitive and sustainable.
Using grant subsidies provided by donors, AMSCO may subsidise up to 33% of the cost of the training programmes for SMEs who cannot afford the full cost.
AMSCO conducted a Hotel Management Workshop in April 2002 with the objective of finding the reasons for the ineffective service mechanism and poor occupancy for majority of the players. The Workshop was realised in partnership with the Ministry of Tourism of Ghana, APDF and other AMSCO stakeholders. The keynote speaker was Mrs. L. Sweeney who is one of AMSCO's private shareholders and owner of a chain of Hotels in Ireland. Over 200 persons attended the workshop.
