Expert Manager Turns Pinefield Schools into a Development Success
ATMS/AMSCO seconded a Principal with expertise on the National British curriculum to Pinefield Schools in Nigeria, with the objective of assisting the Schools to achieve their vision of capturing education in its totality for children, developing and preparing them for the future using the English National Curriculum. In so doing, the children are helped to reach their maximum learning potential, while becoming well-balanced individuals and better able to cope with the emotional, social and practical pressures of modern-day living.
Upon taking up the Principal’s role, the AMSCO Manager, embarked on extensive marketing activities to increase the awareness of the school. This has produced positive results as new students roll has increased. The AMSCO Manager also introduced a gifted and talented initiative to ensure talented students are given the right environment to progress. Certificates and trophies have been won in various interschool competitions such as the King Schools 3rd Art Competition 2010, Terrakulture in Lagos and recently at the London International Gallery of children’s art.
This project has demonstrated huge development impact in the areas of employment creation, local skills development and sectoral development.
