Columbus Stainless Pty Ltd Awards Certificates to Trainee Employees
AMSCO client, Columbus Stainless Ltd, on 08 December 2011 handed certificates to 28 employees who recently completed a six months course on Supervisory Management. The graduation ceremony took place in Middleburg, South Africa with 7 females and 21 males beaming with happiness.
The Training Programme was an initiative of the Spanish Embassy to enhance the capacity of enterprises in South Africa with Spanish investment support. AMSCO was recommended by the Spanish Embassy to Columbus Stainless as the preferred Training Partner.
The course started on 21 June 2011, with employees studying Project Management, People Management and Finance for Non-Financial Managers concurrently.
Dave Martin, the CEO of Columbus Stainless underscored the fact that the difference between his company and other companies is the people. He said they take the leader approach, working together to achieve goals they have set for themselves.
“We should believe in ourselves that we will get through while optimizing costs and reducing waste to contribute to the bottom line.” He further said.
Mr Martin added that companies are still battling through the recession but his company remains the most efficient benchmark company in the world. He encouraged the graduates to display their certificates with pride and continue to do their best in their respective fields. He thanked AMSCO and the Trainers for the tremendous effect they had on the trainees.
Spanish Counsellor, Enrique Manzanares also thanked the trainees for a job well done and urged management to add green business courses to their future courses.
Speaking at the event, the Regional Manager for AMSCO, Abraham Lanor expressed appreciation on the collaboration AMSCO has with Columbus Steel, praising them for the effective investment in their employees and encouraging the employees to be the best for Africa’s development.
On behalf of the other trainees, Yougan Pillay thanked their mentors, trainers and Columbus for such a worthy course stating that they look forward to being future successors.
