Businesses Meet to Accelerate Private Sector Growth
The National Planning Commission (NPC) of Nigeria and African Management Services Company (AMSCO) will on 22 September, 2015 host a business conference themed “Accelerating Enterprise Competitiveness & Growth in Nigeria – Building Capacity for Sustainable Development”. The conference will take place at Sheraton Hotels and Tower, Ikeja-Lagos starting at 08:00 am.
The Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria Mr. Godwin Emefiele will be the keynote speaker.
The objectives of the conference are:
- To promote partnerships for business development and employment creation in Nigeria.
- To promote balanced investment in financial and human capital for enterprise development, necessary for economic development.
- To examine sources of financing for development to capacitate enterprises.
Topics for discussion will probe into issues of local skills development, employment creation, and the state of readiness of the Nigerian businesses to access alternative sources of funding with a view to build a competitive and sustainable Nigerian economy.
Leaders of private and public businesses, senior government officials, Development Finance Institutions (DFIs) and donors are expected to attend.
